I've been into brain teasers lately, keeps me occupied when my brain makes me to refuse to study. Here are some...
Puzzle No 1There are 5 houses each w a diff color. Their owners, each with a unique heritage, drinks a certain type of beverage, smokes a certain brand of cigarette, and keeps a certain variety of pet. None of the owners have the same variety of pet, smoke the same brand of cigarette or drink the same beverage.
Clues:
The Brit lives in the red house
The Swede keeps dogs
The Dane Drinks tea
The green house is just to the left of the white house
The green house's owner drinks coffee
The person who smokes PallMall raises birds
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
The man living in the centre house drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the leftmost house
The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
The man who keeps a horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
The owner sho smokes Bluemasters also drinks beer
The German smokes Prince
The NOrwegian lives next to the blue house
The man who smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks water
The question is: Who owns the fish?
Puzzle No 24 ppl (A, B, C, and D) want to cross a bridge at night.
There's only one lantern and the bridge can only hold a maximum of 2 ppl at any one time. And the lantern should be used when crossing the bridge.
A takes 10 min to cross the bridge
B takes 5 min
C takes 2 min, and
D takes 1 min.
How do all 4 of them cross to the other side within 17 min?
Puzzle No 3A grill cld only grill 10 satays at any one time.
It takes 3 min to grill each side of a satay.
Now, u have 15 satays to grill.
How do you grill all 15 satays within 9min?
Puzzle No 43 ppl checked into a hotel. The charge for their room is $30 a day.
However, there was a mistake, and the charge should have been $25 instead.
Hence, the hotel staff got the bellboy to return $5 to the trio.
The greedy little bellboy kept $2 for himself and returned $3 to the trio.
Essentially, the trio paid $9 each ($10-$1 refund).
So, in total the trio paid $27.
If you add the $2 that the bellboy kept, your total is now only $29.
Where did the $1 go to?
Puzzle No 5A man fgt the code to enter his office. However, he did rmb these 5 clues (oddly enough)
The sum of the 5th no and 3rd no is 14
The 4th no is one more than the 2nd no
The 1st no is one less than twice of the 2nd no
The sum of the 2nd no and 3rd no is 10
The sum of all 5 no is 30
