telemarketing job
[ 5:42 PM ]
Today, me, sandra, stella and angie went job hunting. We went to the interviews that we were supposed to go to first. They all turned out to be recruitment centres!! sianz
After the 2nd interview, we went flipping thru the pages of Straits times recruit section... Stella did the calling.
And at the end of the day I got a telemarketing job at outram park mrt. Here's wat the job is all abt:
-comission based, no basic pay except for the 1st 2 weeks
-for 1st two wks, pay is $5 per hour, i agree that its rather low...
-wrk from 10 am to 5pm on wkdays, on sat 10am till 3pm.
-all i have to do is to make phone calls and convince couples to come dwn to our office to make an appointment
-not selling products, but wanna convince couples to travel
-ppl called are frequent travellers.
-training provided, and a script is given for u to follow
Comission is as follows
--In 1 wk manage to make 1 couple come dwn $70
--In 1 wk manage to make 2 couples come dwn $150
--In 1 wk manage to make 3 couples come dwn $100+ $80x3
--In 1 wk manage to make 4 couples come dwn $100+ $80x4
--In 1 wk manage to make 5 couples come dwn $250+ $80x3.
Basically the man who interviewed us said that on the average u can get 5 couples per wk. Dunno whether its true, but sounds reasonable. Anyway, I can quit after the 1st 2 weeks if i feel that its not suitable for me.
Sadly, Angie and Sandra declined the job. The man made us decide on the spot, me and Stella agreed. To me its better than staying at home doing nothing.
My only worry is that the recruuitment centres wld call me, offering better jobs... How? I'm worried leh...
If i were to look on the bright side of life, this wld be a gd experience on hw to handle customers and an eye opener on the area of business.
